About Me
I am a public health researcher with an MPH and a Ph.D. (Environmental Health). The exposome, common complex diseases, global population health, urban and local exposures are the focus of my research. I am curious about the effects of Global Environmental Changes (GEC) on the health of populations, especially in India. My research is focused on population exposures and health. India is the most diverse of any country and we simultaneously share many common exposures. We are a rapidly emerging economy with potential for the largest urbanization in the next decade read more…

Public health is the overarching branch of science which includes everything that affects the health of populations. Health should be a part of every policy.
Public Health
The world is increasingly a smaller place and we are global citizens. Our environment is complex beyond the natural and built ecosystems. Social, cultural, economic and political influences are all part of what I like to call, the exposome.
The cumulative exposome determines our lifestyle and subsequently our health. The environment influences the expression of our genes and the science of epigenetics needs to be included in how we address our health. Our genes and individual behaviors have long been overburdened with our health status. We ride tandem with the exposome, but we know little about how to ride healthy. My research will explore this read more…

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
